ATOM is a professional organisation of media educators and industry professionals who are dedicated to the ongoing development of an innovative and diverse screen and media culture in Australia. The ATOM Awards were established in 1982 by the Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) – an independent, non-profit association promoting media education and screen literacy in primary, secondary and tertiary education and the broader community.
Each year, the ATOM Awards recognise excellence in over thirty categories of Film, Television, Animation and Multimedia and celebrate the very best of Australian and New Zealand production.

The Northern Territory and Australia take on some of the biggest media giants in the world next month at the prestigious Webby Awards. The Webbys are the Oscars of the online world; the highest accolade that Internet material can receive.

The Oscars of the internet, the Webby Awards have announced the 2009 award finalists and Wanted Digital is proud to have been nominated as a finalist in the Broadband category for the website 12 Canoes (Twelve Canoes). Winners will be announced on May 5 and honored in a ceremony in New York on June 8. Wanted Digital is also an Official Honoree in the for the Art category in The 13th Annual Webby Awards. The Official Honoree distinction is awarded to the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.

Wanted Digital has won two awards at the prestigious 2009 Australian Interactive Multimedia Industry Association (AIMIA) Awards at a ceremony held in Sydney on Friday 13 March.
The AIMIA Awards are the peak Australian multimedia industry awards, acknowledging excellence in digital media creativity and production. Wanted Digital won in two categories – Best Cultural, Lifestyle or Sport and Best Education and Learning – with the beautifully crafted and unique website Twelve Canoes (12 Canoes). Wanted Digital managed to secure the winning place in the most contested category of Best Cultural, Lifestyle and Sport in which there were 10 finalists nominated.
Wanted Digital Strategy Director and Managing Partner Cora Spear said: ”We are absolutely thrilled to win these awards and really appreciate the industry’s affirmation of our creative work.
